Dyer and Posta

The launch of Dyer & Posta Salon brings a little bit of the urban, studio salon to Kennesaw - without the urban prices to match. In fact, with its stacked stone wall, dark concrete floors, pop red accents and locker room style product cabinets, the space feels a bit like a slick city lounge rather than a suburban hair salon. The only disclaimer: at Dyer & Posta, clients won’t be treated like they’re waiting online at a slick city lounge because it’s more likely they’ll be welcomed a la the classic television show Cheers. Good news for the once sleepy and now bustling Chastain Road corridor.

New business partners and old friends and colleagues Amanda Dyer and Stephen Posta realized a mutual lifelong dream with the opening of Dyer & Posta, and the pair couldn’t be more perfectly suited. “I’m a little edgier and Amanda is more of a natural, subtle stylist,” Posta says. The duality also works well for the in salon assistant training program, who get the best of both worlds from the partners. “We have a lot of in salon education so the staff gets trained the right way,” Posta says. “It’s important to train people in the specific ways of our salon.”

Clients don’t have to wait for a special event to see the new salon for themselves, however. The salon already supports ten stylists and thirteen employees offering “all the hair goodies,” according to Posta, including cuts, colors and extensions. Dyer & Posta also selected an exceptionally high quality color line. Italy Hair Fashion is a more conditioning color that is more true to individual hair colors, according to Posta. “The color doesn’t fade as quickly,” he says. In the world of Dyer & Posta, neither the hair color nor the peaceful memory of the experience fades quickly.
